Description: Aloysius is currently a lecturer at Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Department of Educational Foundations and Psychology. He has over the years garnered experience in teaching at both college and high school levels. Presently he teaches, guides, and mentors students in a number of Postgraduate and undergraduate courses (Guidance and Counseling, Adolescent Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and Measurements and Evaluation in Education and Psychology). In addition to teaching he is an establishing researcher in Alcohol and other Drug Use (AODU) among students in schools. His primary goal is to relate AODU to adolescent psychology. He has published a number of articles about students and drug use in reputable journals, and supervised several postgraduate students in the field of educational psychology. His career success is galvanized by quality academic credentials including Bachelor of Science with Education, Master of Education, and PhD obtained from Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST). Along his career, he competently pursued short trainings in Information and Communications Technology and won grants with German Academic Exchange (DAAD) and Healthy Child Uganda (HCU) Micro research Projects. He regards himself as a dynamic, pragmatic scholar ready to influence the world through scientific innovations. I have participated in multidisciplinary studies, together with teams of health and social workers. He is self-driven, focused, hardworking, and with extraordinary zeal to achieve set objectives. His understanding of social dynamics positions him among persons with undisputed interpersonal skills. Moreover his core goal is to continue shining and gain primacy in all academic endeavors he undertakes, and to get to the climax of his career aspirations. He believes in natural justice, transparency, human rights, and equitable co-existence. Administratively, Aloysius worked as Head of Department at high school for over five years and it is through such experience that he commands a reputation in nurturing teachers. He is currently proud as a Coordinator of Examinations in the Department of Educational Foundations and Psychology and aspires to achieve more in line of management. He believes in the philosophy of carrying along other people if he is to rich the epitome of his aspirations. On an international scene, he relates well with professional, local and international organizations. This exposure has enabled him garner exposure to local and international scientific community. The privilege has been seizing opportunities to chair scientific sessions at international congresses and given inspiring talks regarding his academic work. Further opportunities have been and will continue to be a peer reviewer in different scientific forums. In his future plans and aspirations, he anticipates excellence in scholarship, especially in AODU. It is his dream to enhance his skills in research, to enable his ability to nurture future scientists in this noble field of education. His passion is founded in grant writing and championing capacity building at his work place. He is currently working on a project related to alcohol use and internet use among high school students.
