Description: My PhD research focuses on the development and evaluation of a theory- and evidence-based smartphone application to reduce excessive alcohol consumption (drinklessalcohol.com). This is being done through analysis of drinking behaviour and effective interventions to reduce hazardous and/or harmful drinking using the COM-B model of behaviour (capability, opportunity, motivation – behaviour); a systematic review of digital interventions for excessive alcohol use; studies to identify and develop potential content for the intervention; and an evaluation of the different intervention content in a factorial RCT. Prior to my PhD, I completed a MSc in Research Methods in Psychology at UCL and did my undergraduate degree at the University of Cambridge reading Natural Sciences and specialising in Experimental Psychology.
